Biography:

Leon Buxton, SHRM-CP, BBA Leon is a dedicated leader who brings a wealth of heart, discipline, and expertise to everything he does—both in his career and his community.

Currently serving as the Human Resources Manager at Ripley Behavioral Health Hospital right here in Ripley, TN, Leon has spent his life building up teams and helping organizations thrive. Before stepping into healthcare, Leon spent 5 years in the corporate world as a Business Systems Analyst and Deputy Team Leader at CACI, where he loved welcoming and training new employees.

Leon is also a proud veteran. He gave 24 years of dedicated service to the U.S. Navy, retiring as an E-7/Navy Chief Personnel Specialist and Senior Human Resource Manager. A lifelong learner, Leon graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Associate degree from California Coast University in 2011, and Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Business Administration in HR from the University of Management and Technology in 2018.

When he isn't managing large-scale projects or strategic planning, Leon is a devoted husband and father to two wonderful children. He loves giving back and actively serving in his local community.
