Inpatient Behavioral Health Admissions

Ripley Behavioral Health provides inpatient psychiatric care for adults age 18 and older who need a safe, supportive setting for stabilization and treatment. We welcome referral inquiries 24 hours a day from emergency departments, healthcare providers, patients, and families.

Someone may benefit from inpatient care when symptoms affect their safety or make daily life difficult to manage. Reasons to reach out may include thoughts of suicide or harming others, self-harming behavior, severe depression or anxiety, manic symptoms, hallucinations, delusions, or significant changes in behavior or functioning. These are examples, not a checklist—you can contact us even if you are unsure whether inpatient care is needed.

Every referral is reviewed individually. Our clinical team considers the person’s psychiatric needs, medical stability, and whether RBH can safely provide the care they need. Adults age 65 and older are considered individually in consultation with our Medical Director.

RBH focuses on inpatient psychiatric treatment. We do not provide medical detoxification or intensive medical services such as dialysis, IV treatment, or cardiac monitoring. Patients must be medically stable before admission.
